Aventec participates in the 2nd Giswater Conference and reinforces its commitment to the digitalization of the water cycle

Aventec took part in the 2nd Giswater Conference and the Annual Assembly of the Giswater Association, held in Logroño, a key event in the field of water cycle digitalization that brought together professionals and organizations from the sector to share knowledge, exchange experiences, and advance innovative solutions.

The main conference, held at Espacio Lagares, gathered more than 50 professionals and highlighted that Giswater is not just a technological tool, but a well-established community of experts committed to efficient water management. The event featured international success stories, such as those developed in Brazil and Costa Rica, as well as progress in BIM interoperability and updates on version 4.0 of the system, all delivered with a high technical standard.

In this context, Aigües de Vic and Aventec participated as sponsors and had a prominent presence in the technical program. Aventec delivered several presentations focused on service digitalization and management:

  • Software for technical management of water supply, by Tamara Marín
  • Software for customer management, by Albert Serra
  • Business intelligence applied to the water cycle, by Pol Rodoreda

These presentations provided an opportunity to share real-world experiences and applied solutions that help improve operational efficiency, decision-making, and service quality.

The event also featured the participation of Guillem Treserra, General Manager of Aigües de Vic, in his role as Vice President of the Giswater Association, reinforcing the organization’s involvement in governance and project development.

The following day, 30 active members took part in the Association’s Annual Assembly, where key decisions were made to define the direction of the new version of Giswater and the future of the community. This meeting once again demonstrated that the commitment of its members is the main driving force behind the tool’s evolution.

Beyond the technical sessions, the conference also provided networking opportunities in a setting like Logroño, including visits to wineries and gatherings in the iconic Calle Laurel, helping to strengthen collaboration among professionals.

The event was organized with the support of Logroño City Council and the La Rioja Water and Waste Consortium, whose hospitality is gratefully acknowledged.

The Giswater Conference is thus consolidating itself as a key collaborative platform that promotes more efficient, connected, and future-ready management models.

With this participation, Aventec and Aigües de Vic reaffirm their commitment to continuous service improvement and the adoption of innovative solutions that contribute to responsible and sustainable water management, already looking ahead to the next edition of the event.
